Girls Empowerment Sierra Leone (GESL) is a feminist organization based in Freetown, Sierra Leone. GESL is made up by a dedicated group of volunteers working to enhance the leadership skills of young girls in Sierra Leone.
My photography experience with GESL is on a volunteer basis, helping to document their weekly workshops where they spend time with various mentors, striving to advance the leadership qualities of the mentees.
